But dsimenuplusplus does not read the downloaded bins? I should trade to get Gengar with the original platinum cartridge from 2ds but having revived from 0 before Oreburgh City I can not trade ...

I decided to try this on my 2DS with Luma CFW, and I followed the instructions to the point, but whenever I try to launch DSiMenu++ from the launcher, it errors out after the DS/DSi Boot screen,
and asks me to turn the power off, I'm not sure why this happens.

You can either run a cheat code or patch the ROM. Because you're using a ROM, it's probably best that you use WfcPatcher. You will need a WEP or unsecured network connection, though. A phone hotspot should work too. If you can't use a hotspot, you may be able to set up a secondary connection on your WiFi router, and with MAC filtering (for security) if possible.
