I have a r4i-drive that's fairly old, and everytime I put on my ds the screen goes white after the health and safety warning, It doesn't change anything if I put on auto mode or manual mode, at first I thought it was because I needed the kernel files, etc, I downloaded those and put on my sd card after formatting it with this tool panasonic sd formatter I also put the RetroGameFan multicart update, tried putting Twilight Menu++, but nothing works, I've changed the date to 2009,2011(the time this card was being selled) but it also didn't work, If anyone know how to fix this please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
If necessary I can record a video showing the screen.

Can you attach a picture of the card? You might be using the wrong kernel files as it varies by every cart.

Especially if it's an older non-DSi compatible cart the reason it instantly goes white instead of showing the DS menu is probably that it has the autoboot flag set in the header. A lot of old flashcards did that.

This is the card, also I was only able to find 2 kernel for this one, so idk if it's is the right kernel

Hmm, that's a weird one... It's not listed on flashcard-archive that I see, I don't see it on YSMenu's list, and the website isn't even on archive.org...

I found this old thread about a different r4i-drive.com card which may work: https://gbatemp.net/threads/need-flashcard-r4i-drive-files.487315/

Or maybe @lifehackerhansol may know something, I'm afraid that's all I could find...

yeah I tried archive dot org but it wasn't even cached properly, just a question, is the kernel in the link all I need or do I need ysmenu too?

I've also find someone saying this "The R4i Drive card is a fake (the genuine one has official site r4i-sdhc ), and if you've updated your console to the latest 1.4.2 or 1.4.3 firmwares it's unlikely to work.", so maybe I could downgrade my ds?

Does it show up as any game? Or does it directly go into a white screen?

It's actually possibly bricked, but I don't want to jump on that conclusion yet and want to get some clues.

EDIT:
If you can, try loading with an empty SD, or even no SD, and see if that changes behaviour at all. Any of these will generally show some sort of loading or error screen, and that's what we want to see here to identify.

It goes directly to a white screen, I tried both empty sd and no sd and both give a white screen

It didn't work :(, if is any help the first time I turn it on the ds crashes at the health and safety warning and freezes, and then after I turn it on again it goes through the health and safety screen but goes to the white screen, this happens every time the ds is able to recognize the r4.
edit: spelling

If it's crashing at the Health and Safety warning, that's either contact issues, or a brick.

Assuming it's contact issues, which happens fairly often, try blowing into the slot, cleaning the pins, etc.

It could be the r4 pins since I have a original game and it works, it's just weird that only crashes the first time I turn it on
