for what i remember, on 3DSXL, so i guess same for N3DSXL exept for more colors contrast, DS games are "choppy", looks like some of them have FPS drops, i remember ACWW having this and it "shocked" me first time i played it on my 3DSXL.

The 3DS boots into DS Mode, making it act just like a DS at a hardware level. You will not get any extra FPS drops or other performance issues when playing DS games on a 3DS.

i do see a difference will playing on a 3DS compared to my DS Lite, it's looks smoother on NDSL and NDS.
