Gaming DS (fat) not working after shell replacement

My DS fat faceplate broke (the part near the hinge)… So, I bought a white case off of dealxtreme, and proceeded to replace the old shell with the new one…

Now, when I try to turn it on, the bottom screen flashes for a second and the DS turns off…

What the hell have I done to my DS? How do I fix it?

Make sure that the ribbon cable that connects the upper screen is properly attached. If it is and it still isnt turning on then you might need to purchase a new LCD.
