Personally i thought FF3 was a painful but rewarding and enjoyable experience. Get's my vote

Otherwise, maybe Etrian Odyssey, but that's too hardcore for me. Maybe FFIV, but that hasn't been localised yet. Maybe Tales of Innocence... yeah, I think so!
