    DS All Stars

    Updated homebrew for neoflash contest.

space1 released an updated version of DS All Stars. For those new to the title it is a version of classic game where you have to fence off a selection of the screen (revealing a picture, in this case of various Nintendo related images) while avoiding enemies. Unlike some other iterations should an enemy touch your line then you instantly lose.

DLDI patch to save high score.

This game is not half bad, it is no meteora but it is well worth a play. Anyone who has played a version of this before be warned the instant death as opposed the fuse effect can make it feel odd.

Bonus points to whoever can give me the name of the megadrive/genesis iteration, I have been racking my brain and the internet but have not come up with anything.

Also a warning to whoever goes to the devblog, make sure no significant other or boss is watching for there is a "adult" themed one in progress apparently.

i just tried this out. i think the movement speed is too slow, you should be able to move faster than the things chasing you. also, if there were powerups and stuff, this would be so much better.

The game's awesome, except I can't even beat a level yet. The game should have a level editor, where you can make your own backgrounds and enemies and stuff.

I remember playing a version of this on mame except instead of Nintendo backgrounds you had nude playboys from what looked like the 80s lol, much more fun! Instant death was the version I always played - didn't realise there was a 'fuse' version. The game/concept is really fun. What is the input on this DS version, stylus or d-pad?

WARNING: Do not play this game unless you have patience. And a hell lot of it. The enemies are freaking annoying and I've been playing this game for over an hour now and I never seemed to complete a level at all. I'd also like to mention, that my Nintendo Dual Screen almost became 2 Nintendo Single Screens. So if you find yourself holding 2 seperate screens, don't say I didn't warned you!

i finally beat a stage. it's impossible to completely box in or whatever one screen. haha i tried, but you only need to get about 75% or more completed to beat the stage.

There's a PC version of that. And just so you know, there's an (English) PSX port of the game with like 90 more levels for the extremely hardcore (I found it really tedious but I really really suck at this game), though good luck finding it - it's called Neo Qix, I found it in that full NTSC PSX set, probably from Underground Gamer.

The alternative version is NSFW where I'm working... but damn. Author has some raunchy tastes.
