Looks good to me but what are the differences between each versions?

I believe there is a slight difference in characters you can recruit.

I think there's one whole extra team in each game, plus a few unique special moves (though I heard you can get any special move in either game, it's just easier because some of the special characters in either game start with those moves). There's also a different romantic subplot in each game, which carries on into the third game and the 3DS versions, where the main character marries one girl instead of the other.
