I think it is because they are too easy. You get unlimited continues wherever you die so there is no challenge to hold a gamer's interest. I tell you, they really seem to put some effort and creativity into these LEGO games, in spite of the fact there are so many of them, but for all the ingenuity of the formula, these games never hold my attention for long for some reason. Saw some 3DS footage, though, and for the first time, the combat actually looked interesting. Usually it's the clever yet simple puzzles that do it for me, but if the DS version has similar combat, I might go all the way this time.
