Sounds pretty meh.
This game actually looks mildly decent.
I'll have to see if they botched the historical aspects of this game
the title is so long...
AND THANKFULLY FIREBALLO WAS THERE TO SAVE THE DAY
Long name is long!
Wasn't France kinda torn apart, with its own revolution soon to come, at the time of the American independence war? It feels like Marie Antoinettes role in the latter would be a parentesis at best.
I'll have to check it out anyways, it's a way too strange subject to center a game around to let it go without at least trying it :>
feels kinda ironic they come out with a game with her name just when i read about her in history class in school xD
I would like more action in the game
here's something from wordweb
"Marie Antoinette - Queen of France (as wife of Louis XVI) who was unpopular; her extravagance and opposition to reform contributed to the overthrow of the monarchy; she was guillotined along with her husband (1755-1793)"
Not a very good incentive to play the game but hey we want war games on the ds
did u notice the file name reads xmx-male? its actually ma1e yes but seems to be male
It's ironic that this game is about an American war but is a EUR release.
There are better homebrew games than this.
Well, at least the french VA sounds funny.
I'm confused.... what does the French Queen who played a big role in starting the French revolution have to do with the American Wars?
She was a cool queen though, just very misunderstood and neglected by her bumbling socially inept excuse of a husband. Her partying was only because she didn't get any from her husband.
That's more of a coincidence, not ironic.
Judging from the trailer it looks like thsi game would have been more interesting as an RPG.
It would be nice to have a "story" RPG about history, where instead of fighting monsters your tasks are to be diplomatic and outmaneuver the enemy while still doing your day to day tasks.
Sort of like the sims (just in the point that you need life stuff) mixed with a casual RPG. This won't get most normal gamers interested, but will make for a more decent educational game than most. I wouldn't mind an RPG where I took the role of somebody back in that day and got to learn history by interacting with the NPCs. Instead of reading in a history book something plain like "The common class was poor", I could be a queen and overhear my servants say stuff and really get a feel for the era, 'ya know?
Ever played Jeanne D'arc on the PSP? It sure doesn't get all the details right, and there's a lot of fantasy stuff involved, but I'd say the big picture is pretty true to the history. Something like that, with the Sims elements you suggest added to it, could have been really awesome.
Let them eat cake!
This game looks surprisingly good. Probably utter rubbish, but its caught my interest.
From what I've seen uit looks pretty decent. Guess another game to my long list of games I still need to play
lol the name was so long it couldn't even fit in the topic title.
That's gotta be the longest non-Japanese DS game title I've seen.
