Delurking just to say that it's working fine so far on my AK2i + latest AKAIO with per-rom AP bypass turned on. It autosaves like expected, and I've had no freezes in ~40 minutes of gameplay.

I can also confirm that it works fine on AK2i with the latest AKAIO and AP bypass turned on.
