I assume that reusing the shitty gab sprites saves a ton of money, and that making new ones wouldn't really increase total revenue. yay economics!

Probably a stupid question, but ARE there any decent Naruto games on the DS? One Piece has Gigante Battle and Bleach has The Third Phantom, so I'd've thought Naruto would have something great as well.

Naruto Shippuden - Ninja Destiny 2 isn't too bad. I wouldn't play it for hours without stopping, and there isn't much in the way of replay value. But it's definitely fun in 10 minute bursts.

I'll agree here, Ninja Council 3 and 4 look pretty ugly. I have to say though - they took a new direction with the sprites in this game; the character sprites are smaller but this is done with good reason. It allows for more action to take place and more characters to be present onscreen. They also improved the controls for this game. :J I'd have to say this game is actually on-par if not better than the very first Ninja Council game (I'd say better, because the first one had really bad blips-and-boops music, this has pre-recorded Criwave music)
This also has three-man cells which is nice. you can actually
switch characters and do team combo specials

Naruto Shippuden: Dairansen! Kagebunshin Emaki IMO is one of the best Naruto games they've made yet for the DS. However, there are no plans by TOMY to release it stateside >:

Yeah, there are certainly no ~must-play~ Naruto titles. Kagebunshin Emaki is great because it's an action RPG, very Zeldalike and has Naruto using his shadow-clones to complete puzzles and fight enemies...and, levels are pretty well put together :V
