I believe this was based on the book series "Guardians of Ga'Hoole" written by Katherine Lasky.

I read the series in Gr. 3, but there were just too many books in it. 16 IIRC.

I will NOT be trying this. Just some 'background' information.

The game is touchscreen controlled. Fly the owl around 3D environments and do missions. There is mid-air fighting, flying mini-games and RPG elements. Over 25 missions.

It's not too bad. Nothing truly special, but a decent time-waster with good graphics.

Works and saves fine in the CycloDS.

Shouldn't this be a USA dump and not a Europe one.

Since the file name says USA in it.

The game is based off of the movie.
The movie is based in the book world but supposedly a different story.

Only tried the first couple of tutorial levels, but I kinda dig it. With the music, it's a soothing little game. Not sure how the rest of it will play out, though. The touch-screen control ain't perfect -- Shard doesn't move with much finesse -- but everything seems to work fine. The graphics are a bit rough, but it's not an ugly game or anything; it just looks like early 3D graphics -- something along the lines of Deep Labyrinth. Worth a try for folks who enjoyed Starfox Command, I think.
