Wow! Another best games since GBA and SNES version!
At least this looks like REAL Wizardry and not that weird tactical puzzle deal we saw a while back.
Is there going to be an English version of this?
huh... seems cool enough.... might check it out if it gets a US release
Ohhh cooool another first person dungeon thingy.
I've started to like these kinda games since recently, mostly because of shin megami tensei and etrian odyssey.
Hope it will be in english and soon and stuff like that .
Cool, just found it. But HR was High-Road am I right?
Yes if you read the gOnline entry it does say there.
HR is what the group use as an abbreviation when they dump their releases.
At least Wizardry is slightly less forgiving than most dungeon crawlers that seem to feed on the rage and despair of the players. It's a bad sign when 'Saving Within the Dungeon' is a feature
Though I caught myself calling it a "Japanese dungeon crawler" which is a pretty big misnomer. Especially when you consider the original Wizardry series was done by good old Sir-Tech. It's getting to the point where people thing Wizardry is a Japanese franchise! I mean it wasn't but now is...err... Very confusing
Now if someone would just re-do the Bard's Tale trilogy we'd be in business.
wow.. id love the bards tale to be redone...WOW!
I'd love to play this game in English, how much text do you think it has?
Also, do you think walking in the dungeon is real-time or like in EO step-by-step?
Another one? The last one was only a couple of months ago, seems like they're going to milk this even more than Activision did with Call of Duty. Well, I won't complain, as I don't dislike these games.
What the fuck are you talking about? There is three on NDS including this one, the previous one was released November last year and the first one was released in January 2006.
Great 'tude there....For a chav!
Finally, a good first person game. Etrian Oddesey and Shin Megami Tensei needed someone to help fill the emptiness of this genre up. From what i saw in the trailer Rayder posted. One of the characters looks very much like Link.
And NONE of them were released outside of Japan.
Bard's Tale? wow... goes way back, innit? loved the books as well...
as for this title, i'm not too keen on the Wizardry titles, mainly because they've become japanese and becoming less accessible to players that are not familiar with it. i'd like it to be real-time though, kinda like Fighting Fantasy (which i am currently playing right now; really solid game).
I don't think that proves me wrong in any way. I didn't even know about the first one, actually. I suppose you could say that the large time gap between the first and the second one can prove me wrong, but they're releasing a third game already only a couple of months after the second one, which I consider milking out the franchise. I don't see any other developer make games with only such a short development time (perhaps they already started development on this while they were still busy with the second one but I don't know), heck, even Activision can't do it. I'll wait till November/December-ish to see if my assumption was correct, but for now, I hold my statement till you can truly prove me wrong.
Lol it's a Amazon.jp exclusive game.
