Loved this one more than Bowser's Inside Story.

I'm surprised too, looks like Korea gets all their games late... This game is really underrated to me. It gets far too much hate and that's something i don't think it deserves. I really enjoyed the game a lot and consider it a great addition to the Mario RPG series, inferior to other entries or not.

No, no honestly I think the game gets the hate it deserves. :\
There's a crushing disappointment in the total linearity of a time-travelling RPG, and battling's just not that fun when you're controlling 4 characters simultaneously. The bro moves of the original game was substituted for items, which I always hated.
There's like nothing to do in this game except for the storyline, there's nary a sidequest at all.

    Many moons away
5 years late [IMG] I would hate to see when Bowser Inside Story is to be released.
Still I enjoyed this game really, although it still doesn't hold a candle to the greatness of Mario RPG Legend of The Seven Stars

Come to think of it, you have Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario, and Mario & Luigi.
All RPGs, but all differ greatly in their gameplay mechanics and general aesthetics.
You can't really compare them, it's not like "Final Fantasy VII is better than Final Fantasy X" etc

Heh, and I thought this was the worst out of the three.

Didn't really like this game at all, it just got really repetitive after a while. I much preferred Bowser's Inside Story, had better variation (Bowser gameplay and Mario/Luigi gameplay) and it was generally more fun.

I have the exact same thought on this. Even though both of the other games in the series are a little better I really enjoyed PiT!

It has the great humor we`ve come to love from the series, a unique setting (for a Mario-game at least), a great combat-system (with the babies together - like it the most btw) and great puzzles with the babies and M&L separated or together! Great and IMO most definitely an unappreciated game...

I thought it was a good game. A tad linear, but compared to a lot of other ds titles, it's really good.

I have to agree that the game was a little too linear, but it was real fun nevertheless !
And it seems some people didn't like the addition of mini Mario and mini Luigi, but I thought it was a great idea, especially the voices of the babies ( oh baby Mario ! ) was charming and addicting.
The story was great and on par with just about any of the rest of the series, however I didn't like when they slightly changed the design of the main characters ( compared to the first M&L for the GBA ) , especially the way they walked.
But the main idea that the GBA had two fron buttons ( A & B ) and you could control both characters, and on the DS you have four ( ABXY) so you can control four, was simply brilliant.
Honestly I can't say that I regretted to play this game, and we are talking here about the only kind of games that resembles an RPG that I dare to play.
Would I replay it though ? Not really, but I'll be eagerly be waiting for the next chapter in the saga, which will undoubtedly and unavoidably bring something new to the table once again, when it will be released for the 3DS.................hopefully soon !

Remember how long it took them to get SSBB? That wasn't as long of a wait, but still.

ML2 is way more difficulty than ML3. Specially bosses.

ML3 has many options to win in battle, and aides. ML2 not too much. Except for items and brothers.

    I´ve finished all three marios.

And, ML2 Storyline got me bored anyways..

edit: but i have to agree the fact ML2´s story is darker than ML1 and ML3.

Heh, I remember this game fondle, 'cause the sounds of "Babies!" and luigi saying what sounded like "The people-a go to the bath-a-room!" always cracked me up.

    EDIT: FONDLY, not fondle. ^^;;;
