from what i seen on youtube this doesnt look half bad honestly
TNA TNA TNA TNA TNA this is my game of the month
i already know this will be better then the 2 smackdowns before last years with the touch controls
- first impressions
looks like a port of the ps2 xbox version with nothing but a cosmentic change - some dudes like mick folley look ruined
why did they leave the ring as 6 sides when now its 4??
however the gameplay itself was alright , control with analog and buttons and submissions with touchpad which is a nice function .
Samoa joe - with face paint
consequences - fired for 3 months
Jay lethal - macho man attire
and it looks like 1 unlockable character probably suicide
The best is the intro vids
I liked Smackdown vs. Raw 2010, except for the "training" monotony. 2008 and 2009 were just stupid with the touchscreen controls, IMO. I really liked how you could set the moves to anything you wanted in CAW (Create-A-Wrestler) mode. That was great!
This one looks like it will be fun, I'm anxious to see just how it controls. From what I've been reading around the net, it DOES have tag-team matches, so that's cool. But it doesn't have a CAW mode.
I don't even like watching wrestling on TV, but I love playing the wrestling games. I like to bust heads in video games.....
Probably average, but I really like TNA and wrestling games so its all good with me
Its a pretty decent game but is pretty simple and it doesnt help that way to many moves are shared between characters. Thats one of the reason Smackdown wins out against it, variety is needed when your playing constant matches
Sadly the unlockable character is Curry Man....i wish i was making that up
Working fine on CycloDS B.3
I'll have to agree with noname9889 that Smackdown 2010 is better than this one.
It just seems like there is too little to this game to keep you playing. It's fun for what it is, but that will wear thin soon. No Create-A-Wrestler mode really hurts it. And I'm spoiled by Smackdown's ability to change your moves to anything you want.
I'll probably play through story mode at least once.
As much as I enjoy TNA programming, this game is stiff and boring, after winning one match I've stopped
"Most Reconized Name In Wrestling"
Is he seriously supposed to sell this game? I loled.
Well, Hulk Hogan is a legend...
I used to like wrestling games but i guess now, there isnt much interest
smashing heads would be better done with smash tv or something of tht sort...
Hulk hogan is still wrestling? I used to love him as a kid but not watched it since I was like 5.
the unlockable character is curry man
And he isn't wrong. For example, in my country no one gives two shits about wrestling, but everyone knows Hulk Hogan.
Southpeak is known for releasing good games on the DS, games like Dream Pinball 3D, Big Bang mini, Dementium II, Moto Racer DS...
TNA actually made ANOTHER GAME??!!!!????
maybe this one will be better than the first one.
better than it's current tv show!!
Yes! Can't wait to play this!
However, I can't believe they didn't bother to update the ring, roster, moveset (incredibly lacking), etc.
Goddamn lazy, to say the least.
But since it's on the DS and not the 360/PS3, it doesn't have much competition, so it should be enjoyable for some quick matches.
Part of the problem with TNA as a company is they change on a dime, roster-wise. This game was made and finished months ago but was delayed in the DS port, so we're lucky we got a roster that only has two people fired in it and not more.
I'm actually a fan of Curry Man, so I'm glad he's in this game and will most likely play just to unlock him and try him out.
If they want to actually compete with Smackdown vs Raw, they are going to have to increase the roster size and keep the visuals updated. TNA only has 1 "arena" to deal with, so that one ring should be picture perfect.
Wouldn't that meant WWE Legends of Wrestlemania should of sold as well? That game had some of the biggest names. And then it did shitty as all hell.
Anyways I actually played this TNA game. It's actually decent; a little faster than SvR10DS. But due to the idiotic choice to use the 6-sided ring there is issues with running; which was seen in the console TNA game. Also; Hogan is wrestling fully clothed. He doesn't do that in the TNA when he wrestles. You think they would of gotten that right. Still; SvR10DS has more content; even if all the match types are 1on1. I do like the little touch screen kwirks of TNADS; they're not a huge hassle. I just wish, like they should of tried in SvR9&10; they could of fit more wrestlers in it. And this doesn't even have a create-a-wrestler mode.
I give it a 6.9/10.
ONE OTHER THING. I thought I'd mention this. The intro video to the game contains allot of wrestlers not seen in this game. You see Jeff Hardy in the video; but there is no Jeff Hardy.
