Hopefully this makes mattwo happy. I never have gotten into the Magic The Gathering type card games, so I got bored and quit before I even finished the Tutorial on this one.

The card game in the series were pretty cool, you played a card and then you were on a battlefield as your card and must defeat the enemy.

I don't think it's like that in this.

So it's a Yu-Gi-Oh ripoff?

You are right, I'm pretty sure that all trading card games are Yugioh Ripoff.

As a person that has actually played the actual card game IRL I can say it plays much differently from what you are used to in a card game.

Multi-platform games tend to be awful on the DS, but who knows.
I've been digging on this one and it features more stuff than the 360 version, couple characters more from the tv series or something like that...

Replace Yu-Gi-Oh! with Magic: The Gathering, V:TES, or Netrunner and you'd be correct.

good old Jyhad, Legend of the Five Rings was my shit back in the day... lol

anyways... magic is satisfactory for that response since Jyhad and netrunner both came out after.

Im getting angry here.

Yugioh is the lamest shit crap TCG ever existed, if you have 12+ you can see the rules are just broken from the very beggining, the gameplay is biased and the cardset forces you to do only one or a couple of decks.

Plus they didn't invent the TCG or the anime based merchandising.

Glad to see another Jyhad player out there, heh.

I picked those three because their game mechanics represent the basis of almost all other collecting card games. (Maybe toss the old Middle-Earth and/or Star Wars games in there for location deck concepts and built in random generators).

Hmm, didn't know this was coming... Should be worth a try.

To anyone thinking this is a Yu-Gi-Oh! ripoff, think again, and Google their names and 'release dates'.
