It just seems to be some mini game based around Football, Gridiron Football, Tennis, Golf, Beach Volleyball and Baseball. There are only a couple per sport, and they're not interesting enough to keep me occupied for more than a few minutes each. More mini games could opened up later, but I don't think I could stomach trying to find out.

Personally I think this is for young kids who can't get enough of mini games, and has tried all the other alternatives.

Just to add a bit more about the mini games available;

GOLF

Target Drive
- You use the stylus in a forward motion to hit the ball. You are aiming at a number of targets on the field. The obvious ones are proper targets, however everything on the field is pretty much there to be hit, including a moving golf kart, a yacht, a slow walking crab and a monkey. You have a limited number of shots to tot up a score.

Golf Darts - A circular version of Lights Out. The golf green is split into sections and parts of it have been turned over to show the dirt. When you touch a section, it turns over along with it's ajoining neighbours. The task is to turn over the sections, so that no dirt is showing, in as few moves as possible, within a very small time limit.

BASEBALL

Pickle - This is where you use the DS controls to steal bases. You run along a horizontal plane between two fielders, who pass the ball to each other in an attempt to get you out. The game is to move back and forth between them and try to draw them away from the bases they cover. The longer your in the middle the higher your sprint metre will fill up, which can then be used by holding A to sprint past a fielder that doesn't have the ball. Once you've do that the field spins 90 degrees and you start again.

Coconut Frenzy - Using the stylus in a upwards motion, you have to knock coconuts out of trees. You get points for each one you knock off, and bonus point for getting them into the basket that is being carried by a man on his head. There are different coloured coconuts, and you have to get a certain number of each type into the basket, within a set amount of time.

BEACH VOLLEYBALL

Volleybomb - Using the stylus again, you have to pass a bomb to one of three other players who will then do the same, if you are passed the bomb but don't pass it away in time it will go off and you will lose one of your three lives. Lose all three and it's game over.

Castle Defence - Reminds me of that "Battle Arkanoid" type game that used to be on the Atari 2600. You have to protect an elaborately large sand castle from the ball, while at the same time trying to destroy your opponents castle. You use the stylus to move along a horizontal axis returning the balls that are hit towards you. More balls are thrown into play as the match goes on. First person to destroy their opponents castle wins.

TENNIS

Milk Jugs - Not what I had pictured in my head when I read that name. Your character stands at the bottom of the touch screen and has tennis balls launched slowly at him/her. You then use the stylus in an upwards motion to return the ball over the net and knock over stacked milk jugs within a set time limit. Not as difficult as it sounds as the computer controls your players movements and the ball always goes over the bet. There are special Fireball jugs that when knocked over, means the next ball you hit will split into three.

Pinball - Just what it says pretty much. You control you character at the bottom of the touch screen, and use the direction pad to move left and right and the A and B buttons to use forearm and backhand returns. Just like in pinball there are multipliers and also bonus power ups multi-ball. Probably one of the better games in this selection.

SOCCER

Goalie - Now probably the worst of the bunch, viewed in first person, you have to use the direction pad to move left and right and the stylus to control your goalies hands to catch as many balls as possible. You have five lives and every time you fail to touch a ball you lose one of them. Catching a ball gets you bonus points and catching a golden ball give you an extra life. Very tricky to hold the DS in one hand while using the control pad, trying to use the stylus and trying to see the on screen indicators all at the same time.

Corner Kick - Use the stylus in a straight line to kick the ball straight or with a curve to "add English"... Add English? Why English? Just because David Beckeham? The Brazilians have been doing it for years... OK, just Wiki'd it. It's a term related to billiards and snooker. My bad... Anyway, this kinda reminds me of the training games on Superstar Soccer on the SNES. But really it only reminds me that I want to go play that on my SNES now. You have to score goals from kicks passed to you from the corner. As you progress obstacles are added to curve the ball round and targets are added which must be hit. In fairness this was one of the games that I enjoyed.

GRIDIRON FOOTBALL

Wide Receiver
- Apparently this has nothing to do with porn... who knew? Another of the games which I thought was mildly enjoyable. Using the touch screen, you have to pass the ball to the receivers that are running around the field. Bonus points are awarded for hitting the highlighted receiver or hitting the receiver while he's in the bonus box.

Kick Return - The game which uses the most controls. You have to run a obstacle littered field, jumping over benches and avoiding the opposition to make it to the end zone before the time runs out. The quicker you complete the run the more time you will have next round.

Overall not as bad as my first impressions, but still not one I would bother to purchase for kids unless it was in the bargain bin. If you don't bother with that whole money thing than it's worth a go if you like mini games.
