There's a 16 bit game in here. Maybe they'll do a 16bit RPG in the third game! At any rate, most games should be playable in Japanese like the devil platformer. Just the RPG will cause trouble.

    I love staring at Japanese!

Considering we JUST got this game ourselves, I wonder how long before they get with the program and translate this into English.

Hopefully there will be a number of gametapes included worth paying for! Particularly ones that aren't just clones of each other.

Gee, what could "The Demon Returns" be a rip-off of?

That's a bit harsh, don't you think? No need to be an ass.

I might try this out, but the detective game might be kind of hard to play with limited Japanese knowledge (like I have). Much more so than Guardia Quest. The other genre's should be easy to figure out for a non Japanese speaker. But, the challenges might be hard to figure out. Anyway, it's kind of awesome to play the sequel right after beating the original. Even if its in Japanese.

I got the first challenge (Wizman) - cast two spells at once.
I used the gold wand. Not sure if you need that or not..

I don't understand what the 2nd challenge is yet.. it's not just to simply beat Floor 8 - might be an additional trick needed additionally..

    EDIT:
Make sure to see the intros to the game - at least you get a little english there to give you some understanding of what to do.

I was able to beat the first challenge by just using the red wand once on a ghost.

If someone is working on a translation, we don't need a full game one, we just need a list of challenge objectives really, until we find out if XSEED is releasing the sequel. Though, with the amount of press and good will they got on the first, I can't see them passing this up.

Probably the nicest thing about it so far is that it has an option to turn of the voice. That said, I can't quite figure out the second challenge. As was pointed out, it was not beating level 7. Might try look at the manual for the first game with my rudimentary Jap knowledge to see if it says anything smart on how the game plays. Especially, I wish to know what triggers the magic wands (the golden ones. Arino calls them magic wands), and I also triggered a level warp at one point, but that will probably be in one of the magazines I don't have yet. Oh well, off to throw the good old kanji dictionary at the second challenge.

For the second challenge on Wizman, just gather the spinning large crystals (not the regular large ones - they have to be spinning!). I grabbed like 4 before it said I cleared it. I think it has to do with increasing your point multiplier.
