AFAIK, that's never stopped the development of crappy licensed games...

Wow, this is out early. I wasn't expecting it for another week.

offtopic: Hey, you are one of those release groups, cool.

ontopic: I really should consider watching this movie, after I see a few 'kamehameha's in theatres.

Isn't this movie just the same as Bedtime Stories?
Except this movie is based on a book that's been out for quite some time. If anything, Bedtime Stories is the copycat.

Also, this is supposed to be a lot more serious than Bedtime Stories.

I really wish they would just ban all games from being published that are from DSI, or licensed from a TV show, movie, or comic, with just a few rare exceptions. Also, the entire Imagine series. I understand the shovelware profits help the AAA titles, but good god, there are 1000+ releases for DS, and only 150 decent games out of those?

They should ban developers from making games and publishers from publishing those games because you don't like them? How dare companies make bad games! It is common knowledge that the world revolves around jesterscourt and all games should be approved by you before being retail'd. [/s]

The movie was actually pretty good.
It just wasn't based off Inkheart.

Anyway, those film/book/whatever games really suck.
The only two good ones I rememer were the first two Harry Potters for the GBC. After that, the GBA and DS versions went downhill at an alarming speed...

Edit: I used to play those back in the day when I first got a GBC. I was always stuck in the second level or so.

Well, played a bit out of curiosity, and here is what I found:

It's kind of a point-and-click adventure / mini-game thing played in book-style form. I like book-style, but there's no left-handed option. Graphics are really bad, and the very first mini-game is kind of frustrating -- a trial-and-error sort of thing.

Not my bag.
