woah this is out already? glad to c they've gone back to most wanted style playing. i hated carbon and pro street.
Let me know how this one is, I may give it a try
I don't got any time atm, so that's why I can't test it myself.
I'm completely forget about this game.
i'm at uni rite now lozl.
Basolutely great, Wfc, big career, Beautifull graphic, aracde NFS handling lol the best NFS on the DS, EA make geat game in their time
I liked Need for Speed Pro Street (Except the rythem part) it's the only Need for Speed game I've played so I can't compare it to the others. I might give this a go.
compared to the other NFS on DS, this is a good effort. Graphics dont look like shit, nice handling, big city.. Pretty cool so far..
The Good: Amon Tobin
The Bad: Pendulum
Last years one wasn't too bad, seems weird that EA haven't promoted the DS version at all though.
I'm hoping the Wii version ain't a quick port, at the moment they're rep is improving and doing quality Wii ports will help them massively, especially when other publishers spend so little on development.
Just played this game. It's really good. Graphics are good and the all flows very smooth. This is one of the first racing games where I can see the other cars clearly coming towards me. But I just played 2 levels. But I sure am going to play this a lot more. Long live NFS!!!
graphics are a bit toonish, but wow, is that free-roaming?
Anyways, the last NFS's for ds were... meh.
This should be better
I hope this isn't flooded with the stupid night street races. I want some daytime!
not as free-roaming as it seemed.
there are some "get to the target location in time" events which are free roaming, as long as you get to the target before the timer runs out >_<
anyway, this is a daytime underground racer, kinda how NFS:most wanted DS should've been.
^Mixed with cheats (infinite timer) and you have free roaming.
All NFS games for the DS i found quite boring lame......................But this one is quite good.
A good NFS?
It's about time =)
I'll give it a shot, I'm not expecting too much about it though...
weird, I think this is the worst NFS on DS so far
I still think I'd go with the first NFS on DS; NFSU2DS as the best one so far.
The main thing people didn't like about it was the physics, I loved them because you had to become a master, it wasn't a kart racer locking you into drifts around every corner, and accelerating gave a very real feeling of danger towards the end of the game when you have super fast cars.
Plus I think I'd even say I prefer it's graphics, the cars definitely look the best, the courses have a fair bit of pop-in, but nothing that effects gameplay.
I'm gonna go play right now in fact.
but still, waiting for a real rally game on DS
I've played it for a while now and I liked Pro Street more, I liked being able to see what the upgrades did and trying to tweak my car, but this one you can't see what the upgrades do until you enter the car sellect screen, and the spoiler seems to have no affect on the car. There doesn't seem to be any car damage this time either, atleast I've not noticed it. I quite liked having to drive with care as well as driving fast and then having to repair my car. I don't remotely car about underground street racing, I find it stupid and boring, so I have no interest in the story what so ever.
Also has anyone else for that arrow in the get to this place game to be near useless? It doesn't tell you to turn until you've passed the turning. In the races I have to keep looking at the bottom screen because otherwise I can't really see where the corners are (It's worst in this game but it's something I've always found with racing games in cities) otherwise they just pop up.
Having said all that I do like this game, the graphics are a bit better and it still has the addictive game play that I liked in Pro Street, I found that I had to keep having another go at trying to get past the check points before the time ran out.
