xJohnny how on earth is this shovelware? It's the first commercial title to actually use the DS as an art tool / tablet. That doesn't guarantee it'll be good, but it's not the same-old-crap rehashed so it wins a point for that in my book [IMG] I wonder if it'll fly...

No, in all seriousness, this is not shovelware. Bad "game"? Maybe. Good "game"? Maybe. I dunno, yet. But it's definitely not shovelware. It looks promising, in fact. The japanese version's screenshots look very professional and sleek -- worth a try, IMO.

One problem with this. You can't get your drawing off the DS cart can you? [IMG]

    (Not entirely sure)

Well the screenshots I saw just had a thing where you put colours into drawings, not draw your own and some blocks of the painting cut up - so it looks pants

It seems like it's different to Colors! since you don't draw the stuff, you just colour it.

Haven't heard of Phidas before though [IMG]

0542 - Kokoro wo Yasumeru Otona no Nurie - Paint Famous Paintings with Pencil, Oil, or Water

I have a Japanese friend who is in her mid 60's and she wanted this title and absolutely loved it for therapy. She found it relaxing and to be able to paint famous paintings. I did try it and couldn't quite get there but it's a decent title for what it is.

Be sure to check out the Japanese official website http://nurie.ertain.com/

HMM, maybe we can assume the facts by the title, which only states PAINT by DS. Not DRAW AND PAINT by DS.

You fail. This game is supposed to improve your skills of coloring, shading, etc.

You fail since that is what I said and you can't just tell from the title because paintings are painted so you can't conclude what to do in the game from that.

On the improvement of skills, what skills would one have to improve by using this game? Painting in real life?
