This isn't Shanghai

ofcourse its in japanese and as far as I've seen ( haven't played it to much ) its only modern japanese ( thus less suitable for beginers {should begin with either Westren/Chinese/Hong Kong variants}) .


The nice thing about this one is the costum rules ( can make the limit hands worth more/less, and minimum han for going out etc.

Actually, the actual game of Mahjong is what you call the Domino-Like game. A 4 player game where you race with the other players to complete a winning hand. (Some gambling may be involved to make this process more awesome. Read Akagi).
Shanghai is the solitaire game created for bored housewives with lots of free times who have decided that shagging the TV-repair man is no longer appropriate and have turned to videogames to amuse themselves instead.
