There wasn't really an announcement, it just appeared on various release lists.

The English version was announced recently for release in March.

By the way, was the first DS game a remake of the GBA one or a new adventure? I was going to play through it on the GBA but part 2 wasnt released in English to my knowledge so didn't bother

It's good when you're making progress. Then it gets bad when you can't figure out anything new to look for.

I hope it's more goal oriented this time. I actually thought Sims Castaway did a better job than this series.
