Looked like crap from the screens I spotted in the mag yesterday. Seems like I was right.

As far as I'm concerned, this is a decent racer. Kinda like Race Driver, but a little easier. I wouldn't PAY for it, but it's nice for free.

One thing I noticed is that you'll want to play in Bumper Cam. If you play in Chase Cam, the car looks way out of proportion to the road.....the road looks more like a bike trail in Chase Cam.

Framerate is butter-smooth....nice graphics. I give it a solid 7 out of 10.

At least this has engine sound from your own car... something race driver team forgot about.. this makes it much better imo, the car feels much more responsive to drive

Race Driver is the better DS racing sim IMO. EA bring on an F1 game!

Is this a DS port of the Dreamcast/PS2 version of Ferrari 355 Challenge?

It seems to be running on the same engine as race driver. But I don't really think it's better, the collisions are still silly and the car handles all weird.
Could be much worse though.

I just tried this out earlier tonight on my R4. For some reason, i can't seem to figure out how to use manual transmission. The left
shoulder button will make the car go into reverse, but none of the other buttons will allow me to go up through the gears & there isn't an option to assign controls to certain buttons.

*** my right shoulder button had stopped working, but the "blow" technique did the trick and it's working again.
