Do I sense another potential game of the year winner?
And Nintendo wonder why people pirate their games, if good games were released there would be far less piracy around.
I dunno after Slime Jr being pretty fun I'm open to these Euro only games.
Did that dog in the background get raped by the pig?
Oh that crazy pig! What is he up to this time?
It seems so. Stay AWAY from that Pig
So, let me get this straight. Your line of logic is that people steal games because they're bad, and that they don't steal good games?
Let's look at a quick list of most downloaded games.
That's weird, where's Bratz: Forever Diamondz?
Aww I thought this was that Castlevania Swine game come early.
It doesn't matter what other people think, if I like a game, I'll buy it, if a game looks bad, I won't bother, I'll just pirate it and play it for 10 minutes until I can judge it properly.
Note that 6 of those games are Japanese, I don't speak Japanese so I wouldn't have bought them, and Pokemon Diamond wasn't that great anyway.
Where's Bratz? No idea, probably because the game is so bad it isn't even worth wasting time downloading.
Tbh, I just like having the box, although I probably pirate more than the average person, the wave of bad games is just ridiculous.
I lol'd at the box art!
and.. OMG THE ICON!!!
lmao. that made me giggle.
As a fan of gaming, I want my consumption to be constrained by menial things like budget.
I buy as many games as I would if I wasn't a pirate, because I'm not made of money. Especially when nintendo announces that a game that's worth $50 now should always be worth $50. I'm going to help the industry by buying some games and pirating the rest. Also, the R4 lets me play any game for DS, so another service I like to do for the industry is write some reviews. Piracy is a great journalism tool.
"Please your piglet" weird ... i wonder if you can teach the pig to catch mushrooms
Note that 5 of those 6 have since been released in the USA, and they claim top spots on the most-downloaded charts as well. They have high download counts because they were released first. Come on, you've seen this board when a japanese version of a popular game gets released before the english (which usually happens).
"Hey guys I can't speak japanese, can I still play this? I'm going to download it now anyway."
Again, it doesn't matter if YOU don't like Pokemon. Most pirates do, and they're the 'problem'.
Piracy encourages bad game making, not the other way around.
Edit: It's worth noting that I'm a pirate, and I also buy games I enjoy. We are a minority.
We are millions of DS users buying games on a regular base not a minority. The cards owners who download & play bad games and claim they will buy only good games are liars since they also pirate these games. They are till a very little minority regarding the whole DS community. My concern is more on homebrews even if i admit i check carefully what i buy for my kids since Nintendo release a lot of crap ;-)
To illustrate that : i check this thread but i did not download nor play the Pig ;-)
