    Meh...
The first game was such a let down... this one doesn't look much better either.

The first game was actually really cool, just as long as you can understand it [IMG]

It was always a challenge to figure out who Kira/L was. I'm sure this one will be just as cool, if not better.

Pointless as the anime is licensed and I'm sure the games will get English localizations because the anime will easily be well received. This series has too much popularity not to get the games. [IMG]

Does this have the original L in it or is it just near/mello.
If no L... then this is worse than dog shit. (hatez N&M)

Wanna bet this won't happen? Except for Naruto, this has never happened. And even in the case of Naruto, only a few titles made it's way to the US after a looong time.

In Naruto's case they even skipped a DS game.

Heh, it's true that not a big bunch of games are getting here in the US. This is mostly because, even if it's popular here, the companies often never know completely how much people like it. Torrents and all aren't a good way to spot if something will sell well enough or no. As for what was said about Naruto, you can also point out dragon ball, one piece and the rest >.> Even if they're popular, well known and such. It doesn't mean that the game itself will be well-received in the US or wherever else it could be shipped. I'm pretty sure you're all aware of market studies that check whether or not people actually like a kind of game before releasing a new one and during the said tests, i'm pretty sure the popularity of the anime it follows as little importance to the test, that explains why some games aren't released here. For example, take Budokai Tenkaichi. If the second one sucked asses here but was loved in japan, what are the chances that the third would come here ? Of course, using a popular game like that as an example makes little sense, but that's just to pitch the idea in.

Something you can do to bypass this is simply this, learn japanese [IMG] Hard, but rewarding in the end.

Okay, playing this I have zero idea what I'm doing. There's an overhead view of a part of a city (I think)...and you can move around...but I have no idea what the goal is or how to do it. Pushing buttons I pulled out the Death Note twice apparently and something happened with dramatic "DUN!" sound effect...and on like the fourth turn I got arrested and was booted to the Title Screen...

    Someone please translate this...

Using Naruto as an example is a very poor one. First off, the anime didn't get licensed for a VERY long time. Then by time it did start coming out, the story wasn't far enough into the series to release said games. Then on top of it all, the DS ends up coming out which ruins chances of getting the rest of the GBA games(Wii coming out did this to the GCN series). They skipped a game because the DS is being used by a majority of people and the GBA is essentially dead so they moved on to the DS.

Death Note has been licensed for quite a while now already, and eventually we'll start seeing the anime appearing in English versions. Death Note's popularity has even made VIZ start releasing the episodes to download after you pay money for it. This is a first and shows a lot the popularity that Death Note has, and how that VIZ knows this. Whether localizations for the games start getting worked on after VIZ has released all the episodes for download in Japanese, or after the series has been completely dubbed is unknown, but it most likely WILL happen. You're just going to have to give it time.

Really hoping that it ends up that you can play as near/mello after beating lights story, and after beating theirs you unlock a hidden alternate story plaing as L.

I've read the manga pretty far, but as soon as light said 'I may well be kira" I just knew the rest of the manga was going to be boring. It was nice, but I guess I should just start on the anime.

By the time I should be finished, the deathnote games should be localized [IMG]
