I'm not asking for roms....

When a game hits the list here, why does it take a day or 3 to "hit the web?"

Does the release have to make it's way down the pipe? I can never find a game when it is released, and thought I would ask how this process goes.

I find it's the other way round, I had this game before (not long before, but still before) it arrived here. And no I don't use newsgroups, just the regular interwebs.

I just realized my TimeWarner service gives me unlimited newsgroup access so I've been taking advantage of that.

Before I started using newsgroups I was getting all my roms from websites usually within the same day they were released.

The general scene process is usually like this:

rip team gets game - uploads to affilled FTP site - people move files from this FTP to other lesser FTP sites (known as dump sites to some) - from the dump sites the warez usually make their way to IRC FServers and Usenet - then onto P2P or websites.
