Steel Horizon combines turn-based strategy with intense realtime action, as players strategically position their fleets and engage in 3D combat. Build and command a powerful WWII naval fleet, comprised of battleships, submarines and aircraft carriers. In addition to an involving solo mode as the American Captain of one of three ultra-secret Navy vessels, players can also compete against a rival player via the wireless multiplayer modes.

Yeah? Oh well. Realised I mostly had high hopes because the title reminded me of Beneath A Steel Sky.

Not tried it yet, kinda busy with Puzzle Quest but will try it anyway later.

Harsky - nope! no where near in fact. its like a photographic map with some badly scaled units on - none of the charm of advance wars.

worth a play tho.

(just realised how harsh im being of all these games in playing for free - rather pleased i didnt waste money on them tbh!)

in fact it virtually is a phtographic map - the ds cant keep up when you scroll - you end up with a google maps effect - lots of black squares until it catches up and draws the map in.

the ds doesnt freeze, just you can see black areas as you scroll (which are quickly filled in)
