Nice to see that the random Japanese releases are still coming through.. the kanji trainers are pretty handy.

Are any DS releases actually well suited for learning Japanese (given no prior knowledge)?

Not really,.. the interactive books are good if you can at least read ひらがな. でも漢字を読める人に便利だ。
I advise people against learning Japanese unless they have reasons to do so other than "I think those jap chicks are hawt".

Agreed. The world has enough Otakus as it is. They scare the living daylights out of me. Everytime one of them finds out I speak/read/write Japanese, I'm assaulted with stupid questions like "How do you say "Super Killer Ninja Man?" I want it as a nickname!"

    Kill them, I say.

EDIT: OK, maybe not. Just give them therapy, someone. Please. I feel as if those people have no personalities of their own.

??????????????????? the other day I saw ????? plastered on to the back of some tatty boyracer car in Spain. reishingu .. racing, wow, haaaardcore. [IMG]

A lot of people don't get that English and Japanese sentences can be different not just because of grammar but also culture and are next to impossible to translate cleanly.. this is why some the translations of games are wildly different from the original Japanese. Anyways.. I digress

The name translates to Adult-ability-inspection .. I presume it's some sort of mind game or something. I'll have a look when I can find my wordtank and can be arsed to download it. [IMG]

Yeah, I can understand the huge difference both linguistically and culturally.

That's why they don't just pay some kid $50 to translate the whole game and have an english option. And even if it was translated well, as we all know, some things just might not work in the US...

By the way, how do you like my new sig? Haha! [IMG]

So what would the literal translation be for that phrase?

Seems like google thinks it means:

Don't you think? perhaps, [supakiraninjiyaman]. Laughing

What were you intending it to be?

I'm leaving it as my sig because its funny either way! [IMG]

I saw someone with "Bamboo" tatooed on his arm, and seriously thought it meant "Friends". Good god people are stupid.

And Louse, literal translation is "Probably , don't you think? "
