Why did they bother renaming it?

I like Kirby's Canvas Curse more than Power Paintbrush.. sounds like a reference with Paint of Windows.

I don't know why they renamed it. Canvas Curse appeals more to me and I'm from Europe. It's nice to see that the UK finally got it though.

Maybe "Canvas Curse" means "lick my balls" in Portuguese or something.

No LoL ... a canvas is something you paint on and a curse is a prayer asking that a god or similar spirit bring misfortune to someone.

I think it should have been called 'Kirby's Shit Stick'

That just sounds terribly generic. I mean, "Canvas Curse" sounds like it actually means something. "Power Paintbrush" sounds like a small child's toy.

Stupid name indeed. On another note, does this rom succeed on carts where the (U) version didn't?

Way to completely miss my point, guys. What I meant was that the English words "Canvas" and/or "Curse" might have some other unintended implication in another European language (like the Mitsubishi Pajero) hence Nintendo changing its English title to something else.

I don't notice any issues when the subtitle Canvas Curse is translated. Wouldn't be the first time Nintendo has renamed a game though. (Star Fox 64 = Lylat Wars, Star Fox = Star Wing)

Woah, they changed it? It DOES sound like it's got something to do with a painting software.

    Yeah, Touch Kirby's "Paintbrush", alright.
