I have an X-Rom but neither ndspatch.exe or LoadME work with 512 games so I was hoping it was a patcher.

Probably both.

Most likely thier private game patcher.
GCsim = GameCube Simulator (NGC iso loader over BBA by Starcube)
NDSim = NDS Simulator (NDS rom loader by Legacy?)

Well, if protection has been cracked, then I would expect an influx of DS roms (especially that huge list of Japanese DS roms that have been accumlating) since the groups themselves said they have the games waiting to be dumped

Well, I guess I just assumed that everyone in the emulation scene is trying to help each other. I guess if groups are competiting, it could be interesting...
