Woohoo. really gonna give this game a good go. Not really a fan of the Castlevania series but I hear this is good.

I tried the (J) release and couldnt really get far due to not understanding the language. But everything else (graphics, control style, etc) seemed good. Plus, I'd like not to be the last person on earth who's never beaten any Castlevania game ever!

Glad I did.

Gone through 50% of the game lost as hell...
Still in the other 50%... and lost...
It's kind of confusing if you don't pay attention and remember where places are, but quite a good game. Ranks up there on the Castlevania list with SotN I'd say.

No I didn't start a new game. Actually I finished a game, inserted the AoS cart and the ring was in the inventory.

it shouldn't matter, i don't have aria of sorrow, so i'm trying to get it to work with a flashed cart. it only looks at the header of the game.

in fact, for advance wars: dual strike, i flashed only the header of the original advance wars to my cart and it saw it as the game and gave me the bonuses.

What are those bonuses with advance war?

Some wallpapers, maps, etc... Go to where you can buy things and Advance Wars 1 will make 3 new things appear that you can buy foe $1 each and Advance Wars 2 makes 3 other new things appear, also for $1.

EDIT: Ah, you have to start the game with Aria already in. No matter, I just found the Rare Ring in game...

EDIT: Is there something I can Hex Edit in the DoS rom that will give me the rare ring at the start?

You get the rare ring in the game anyway about 3/4 through or maybe 1/2 way..

Okay, what do I do now? I'm 86.4% done, got the bad ending, wet back and beat Paranoia, now what? There are only 3 places left that I don't know what to do with. At the top is the boss that finishes the game, in the middle, there is a boss door that says I need a seal (i assume it needs the 5th seal as I have 1-4), and a room on the right that has this black smoke or something coming out of the floor and it shows it's a passage down, but I can't find anything.

Head back to Dario, now when your fighting him again take a gander at the mirror behind him. use paranoid on it.

And even further after that if you need help with the endings.

after that you go own the garden boss, with the door you can't enter, for one ending, which rocks by the way don't wear mina's talisman. for the other wear it.
