    DRE=Disk read error

    When the wii can't read the disk. Usually caused by one of the following:

    Poor quality media (most likely explanation)
    Combination of burner, speed of burn and media.
    Some very early modchips (wiinja v1 for example).

    Best advice is to use decent media, (you can't go too far wrong with verbatims) and burn a couple of copies at different speeds to see which work best for you.

    An occasional DRE on a wii game isn't a big deal, because you can just eject/reinsert the disk and the game will continue.

    Cheers
