micromoog has released a stereogram drawing application, draw-stereo. For optimal viewing, he advises you do in a darkened room, hold a comfortable distance from your eyes (~18"), and sideways like a book. Download and controls below.

stereogram - A stereogram is an optical illusion of depth created from flat, two-dimensional image or images. Originally, stereogram referred to a pair of stereo images which could be viewed using stereoscope.

Well, I tried it out, and it's indeed a lot of fun for such a simple app. You can't save your work, which is a bummer, but it's great for just doodling around with. The pen sensitivity kinda goes to hell around the edges of the screen, but as long as you keep things centered up, it's fine.

I emailed the creator, hopefully he or she will keep working on this.

I'm not sure whether it has something to do with resolution or my PC screen, but I can't get that to work either and I can usually see them in a split second.
What's it sposed to say?

I can make out what sposed to look like STOP? but it just looks a mess.

Admitted, it's far more difficult to see them on a monitor. I think it says 'STOP'.

Yeah, it says stop. But the difference in the depth is too high, which makes it hard to look at.
