The Xbox Games Showcase has revealed that Dragon Quest XI S is leaving its exclusivity on the Nintendo Switch to join new platforms soon. On December 4th, the definitive version of Dragon Quest XI will make its way to Xbox One and Game Pass, Windows 10, PlayStation 4, and Steam. The original localization of the game launched in September 2018, and was followed up by a version with new story content, orchestral music, and a retro sprite mode a year later, of which was only available on the Nintendo Switch. Square Enix also confirmed that Dragon Quest XI S will head to the Xbox Series X as well.

No This will not be coming to mobile also if you do plan on playing the whole series you will need a 3ds or ds and ps2 for 7-9

I'm sure people in the early 2000s would've been shocked to hear that Dragon Quest 8 is on phones in 2020 so 2040 will definitely see Dragon Quest XI mobile. lol

What's different about the S version?
  • the game can now be played in 2D similar to older dragon quest games
  • Battle Speed Selector
  • fun-size forge can be used anywhere
  • soundtrack is now fully orchestrated
  • Japanese voice acting options
  • photo mode
  • The world of Tickington (Best feature)
