    The final entry in the "Zenithia trilogy" (Dragon Quest 4, 5, and 6) is fast approaching. With Dragon Quest VI, the DS remakes of the trilogy will be complete. Here's a brand new trailer shown at this year's Jump Festa game convention-

    Lovely indeed! The Dragon Quest remakes are really solid and I love the hybrid 3D-2D style in all 3 games. Here's hoping for a speedy US release. Excluding Dragon Quest IX (which was just released and on its way to the US soon), this is the final game in the main series that has never before been released outside of Japan. Coming to Japan January 28th, 2010. Just a little over a month away, and I should expect a fall release for the rest of us. Joygasm! [IMG]

    Thanks for posting this. Love the Dragon Quest series.

    The DS games are examples of 2D animations at it's best.

    Damn he built that house fast.

    Should I play IV before this, or will I be fine story-wise? I've never played Dragon Quest before (besides something on the Wii), and I hear it's a good RPG.

    From what I've played, the stories are interconnected, but not to the extent that it's an idea to play them in order. It's more of a cameo nod than direct sequel-esque games.

    No Dragon Quest game is very strongly connected with another. You can play any game in the series without being spoiled. Aside from maybe a few lines vaguely mentioning events in other games, there's not really much of a reason to play them in any particular order. Play them in whatever way you like.

    the 3d turning screen after the house was built seemed to say tht this could be graphically better but for guys like me (who havent played any DQ on the Snes), we would be happy to see any improvement before play

    Believe it or not granville, I saw this before you posted it.
    I subscribed to SQUAREENIX the Youtube Channel. It is a shame there is not an USA and EUROPE Youtube SQUAREENIX Channel.
    This video was on my subscriptions, I clicked it and thought "What the hell, January!?" well there you go.
    1/DD/2010. I forgot the day. I will not forget this fact though;
    This game is going to have some new anti-piracy measures that will be solved whiten a week or so.
    SO NOOBS; PLEASE DO NOT CRASH GBATEMP'S SERVERS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE GAME NOT WORKING WHEN IT HITS THE SCENE EARLY NEXT YEAR!

    I don't want to see another game topic about a game with anti-piracy with 170+ Pages!
    Good GOD just look at the United States Release of Zelda Spirit Tracks and how many pages it has.

    Going back on topic here;
    I like the idea of having TWO OVERWORLDS to explore!
    There is an overworld OVER and overworld! Crazh huh?

    Well I'll be excited when this game hits the scene and gets patched.
    I still have to finish Dragon Quest IV, and V.
    What was the subtitle of this game? "Realms of the Revere" or something?
    Was this the game where you where in a Dream Land and the Real Land but you find out later that it is vice-versa or somethig? Still, I like the idea of having two overworlds. That just makes me enjoy the game a little more as there is 2x the world of explore!

    Well...ALRIGHT DRAGON QUEST VI ANNOUNCED FINALLY! W00T!
