Square Enix recently announced their TGS showcase of playable games and videos of games there. Today, two more games were added to that roster- the DS remake of Dragon Quest VI and the new action RPG for DS called Cross Treasures. Cross Treasures you are least familiar with. Here are some screens-

And the first scan of Dragon Quest VI DS were released just the other day-

So yes, a lot of RPG goodness for DS owners! I myself am looking forward to DQ6. It has never been legally released in English, and is the only main game in the series to not have that happen besides the new DQ9. I guess we'll be getting some details soon enough.

Cross Treasures looks like the battle system is a total revamp and being a little the same as DQ9
with all the buttons there... it looks like some action game?

nope none of the DQ series are sequels each have their own story same with all of Square-Enix series(except KH and FFX+FFX-2)

Wouldn't exactly say that. Dragon Quest IV, V, and VI (The Zenithia Series) share the same major plot element and they all have references to the plot and characters from their prequel/sequel, although they do take place in different time periods.

Though, I'm sure it's safe to assume DQX will not be a sequel.

Either way, I'm eagerly waiting for VI.
