Installation

  1. Download the HD pack
  2. Download the lastest pcsx2 Nightly Builds
  3. PAste on pcsx2/textures
Configuration

1) Use rendering Forced for text

have fun 6gig
with 7800 texture 45h ingame 15h texture

Literally the same as this dude! I've been waiting for SE to release a HD remaster so I could buy it for the 2nd time, but screw them now, I'll just keep using my PS2 copy.

And great job OP, these textures look clean and pristine.

This is a great mod!!! Amazing!

Congratulations on the wonderful effort!

I have a few questions.

1) First time loading textures induces stuttering even from SSD. Any way to fix that?

2) I notice that sometimes high-res textures don't load, for example, initially when loading a save, unless "Precache Textures" is selected; however that option crashes the emulator presumably because of the large size of the texture pack. Any way to fix this?

3) The detail textures cause texture shimmering particularly on the ground, any way to fix that?

What Models did you use to upscale the 2Ds and 3Ds I would like to upscale the 3DS version

can you make one for french version please?
You can use this for the french version just rename the folder.
You can do it by starting the game enable dump textures and the PCSX2 will create the right game folder check in textures ,than turn off dump ,than you can put the PNG/DDS files in the replacement folder .
Turn off dump textures ,turn load textures and it should work

This happens also in the other HD packs. Every game has different hashes depending on the PAL/NTSC version. So, the name of each image is different in the same game depending if is from European or USA version.

It's a shame, because there are a lot of nice packs on this forum, but most of them are for USA/NTSC version, not for PAL. You would need to rename every single image of this pack to match with the PAL version, and that's crazy.

jeez.. that's frustrating. finally a texture pack for a game that I own and then I can't use it.
in other emulators the region doesn't matter for texture replacement.
is it just bad implemented or is it how ps2 works?

You missed some textures in Alexandria like the church and some NPCs
also some objects like the broom and the feather in Jessicas room

@1vierock Could you please upload the original dump folder you used for the texture rework? Basically the NTSC image dump, because I found a way to convert the hash names of each texture to the PAL version. And it would be great to share this awesome texture pack for also the people who uses the PAL versions.
