    Not had a chance to play with it yet but a newspost over at romhacking.net says a 2 year project has finally come to fruition with a patch release

    Game Review - by gukid

    Dragon Quest Monsters: Caravan Heart is the third installment in the well known Dragon Quest Monsters series. It’s the only game in the Monsters series that didn’t get an official English localization.

    This was the very last game published by Enix before they merged with Square. Follow Prince Kiefer (one of the heroes of Dragon Quest VII) on his quest to help a friend find a cure for his parent’s illness. You’ll travel in a growing Caravan, full of trained guard monsters and a whole bunch of human party members.

    Features:

    * Great graphics
    * Classic Dragon Quest Soundtrack
    * 200 Monsters
    * Monster Reformations using the hearts of befriended monsters
    * Fight both with Monsters and Human party members
    * 22 Classes for the human party members
    * Lot’s of depth and strategic possibilities
    * Light-hearted main quest
    * A LOT of optional bonus content after finishing the main story

    Sweet, I've really got to beat the first two before tackling this one.

    Screenshots from the page:

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

    Edit:

    Turns out the first two of the series were remakes of the NES games for the Gameboy...

    So, I'll snag this and tell you guys how it is!

    There was no DQM for the NES o_o

    Gameboy DQM 1 and 2 were originals!

    And yay for Caravan Heart can't wait to play [IMG]

    My bad - got my facts wrong.
    The games were original on the GBC (like you said), and later remade on the Playstation.

    Had some trouble patching the IPS file using the M3SD software (using latest version; crashes when IPS file is selected)...
    I suggest downloading and using Lunar IPS to patch the ROM.

    Yet to try the patched ROM on my M3 Lite, hope it works!
    Uploaded the IPS to GBAtemp - download below [IMG]

    Sounds cool, I'll have to check it out, what are the names of the other two DQ titles for the GBA?

    Dragon Warrior Monsters

    Dragon Warrior Monsters 2: Cobi's Journey / Tara's Adventure (two versions)

    Both are for GBC, so get 'em and play on Lameboy!

    Rereading your post you said DQ so other DQ/DW's on GBC are:

    Dragon Warrior I & II

    Dragon Warrior III

    I got it to work on my supercard SD as well. A great day for DQ fans indeed.

    Nice, I've been wanting to play this game too. Any comments on how complete the translation is?

    What a great translation. I think everyone should read his reflections he wrote up. A lot of insight into the translation world.

    Yeah, works fine on my M3 Lite [IMG]

    Yet to really get into the game and not really a Dragon Quest fan, but so far I'm impressed.

    Working fine on my EZ Flash II. The caravan thing is a different approach than the usual DQM games, almost seems like a hybrid between DQM and regular DQ games where you have party of characters.

    This game's got a lot of charm and old school Dragon Quest atmosphere. I'm definitely enjoying it!

    I read the reflection too, quite touching I thought. And thank you Harpuia for the titles, I'm going to check them all out!

    The forum rules link is at the top left of every page by the log out button and also in the site index.

    None the less if you make cheats feel free to share them.

    Hope this isn't too late. Try using LunarIPS. That's what I used.
