In the previous game you gain a trait at +50, and pick a trait to gain at +☆, so I'm guessing it's a mistranslation. I haven't bred one that high yet though.

It might mean you'll lose the previous +50 trait in favor of the new +50 trait

This might be a little off-topic, but has anyone come up with a way to eliminate key recharge timers? Having content in a singleplayer game time-gated seems fairly bunk to me.

Does it still seem fairly bunk when you take into account that it's not solely a singleplayer game?

Okay, I've been hammering away at trying to create a cheat that removes the cooldown time on keys. I've managed to make one that does it for a single key, however I'm not skilled enough to make one that targets all keys or changes the code that determines the cooldown time. The code is here for anyone who wants to give it a go.
    Code:
    00757F0B 00000000
For reference, this code here targets the first random key you get after beating the Child Arena Class. It's possible it may just target the first random key in the inventory, but I can't be sure as I only have the one random key.

I have managed to use cheat engine to find the assembly code that does control the cooldown duration, so I would definitely appreciate it if someone were to steer me in the right direction on turning Cheat Engine ASM instructions to usable Cheat Codes, if that's possible.

E- Looks like said code only works for my instance of the game. If anyone knows how to turn Cheat Engine ASM into usable codes, that seems like it's the only way.

Code didn't work for me (on my only random key), which version of the game is it for?

Hm didn't consider them being in the same spot at the same time actually... Since the game is quite a bit different to the original. But yes usually I check there, hoping to find one but no luck til now I'm in the middle of the snow land, so not very far in the story yet

I'm also on 1.1, didn't work. It'd be great if you could make a code for the Metal Menagerie key to have no cool down.

The one I'm using for my Metal Menagerie Key is below.

    Code:
    00757F7B 00000000
No guarantees if it works, though.

That's a shame, the only thing I can suggest is using Cheat Engine to search through memory on the level of a key and leveling it up, pinpoint the memory of where the key level is, and watching that area to see what changes when the cooldown starts on the key.

Later in the game you gain the ability to "repair" keys with gold, allowing you use them repeatedly without waiting. If you haven't got that far yet then you probably don't need to replay levels constantly. Once you get to that point you can use this code to give you max gold, allowing you to always be able to repair keys.

i must say for a moment i was tempted to use the cheats file this person posted in the other threat for my "rosalina"(?) on my luma3ds. Wanted to set x4 exp and x4 gold ( x2 would be better ) to lower the amount of exp grinding...but it crashes the whole time. have quite some crash dumps on my sd card now.

Edit: Also once activated it doesnt get deactivated anymore and you have to close the game and open it again

anyone know what it means when monsters got those weird red boxes in online play?
i keep running into small body monsters with two extra empty red boxes, but i've also seen them just for individual groups of 4 monsters.
    are those transfered ones?

also confused about the dlc keys.
It sounds like you only get the monsters like Slivals Ship or Djinnerals once, but I kept getting them for further wins.
also, I just won a main prize, but I'm not sure I saw what I won at all? Does it even mention what the random prize is?

damn, huge bummer, I just finished the story to recheck if the transfer app would work now, but it's still telling me it's corrupt :/
It verifies, but when trying to copy it, it tells me it could not copy monster data because it is corrupt :/
Not sure what would be corrupt though. I did cheat towards the end of that game for 100% scout, but that wouldn't affect anything like that. I didn't edit the save or just gave myself something.
I did use checkpoint to backup and restore a save at one point. Could that have done it?
How's it working for all of you?

The prize is a better monster. Compare these two, specifically their skills: 20210412_195531.jpg 20210412_195538.jpg
Just found this out: it is from using an orb of rebirth (postgame) to replace a smaller monster's trait with a larger one, eg standard body to grand slammer.
