The following event will take place in Melbourne:

Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies Canvassing (Tag Mode) Event
The Nintendo Experience, EB Games, 67 Swanston St Melbourne 13 November, 2:00pm-5:00pm
Bring along your Nintendo DS and copy of Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies for an opportunity to receive new maps via canvassing (tag mode), including the treasure map of the special legacy boss Nokturnus!

Canvassing mode allows the game to stay active, even when it is in your backpack, pocket or purse. When you are near another player who also has their game set to canvassing mode, information about your unique character is wirelessly transmitted to them, and treasure maps and customised greetings are exchanged. Receive and share rare treasure maps!

But I guess this will only be useful if you own the actual game... I mean, I am sure R4/AK2i/whatever won't be welcome there...
