The screens make me drool
It's graphics match VIII on the PS2 for christs sake
so what have you been up to in the last 3-4 years?
Heres a trailer, another one that i thought looked better (has more gameplay scenes)
I've heard about this for quite sometime, and i think it looks cool. The characters look can be changed by equpping armor and stuff which i dun really see in many games (FFCC is one).... so it appeals to me.
And heres a link to Famitsu( found it in one of granville's submiited news)
Japan Release is 11th July i think. I dunno of any US release dates; anybody got one?
yeah i know
it's just news on this games has been sooo damn slow...
@x.domination thanks for the links

oh mate i want to play this so badly oO
HUH?! they're replacing the turb based battles with real time?? AAaaww... i find real time battles just get repetitive, and require very little thinking...i relied on the ff and dq series to bring me good turn based combat... Well, i suppose if they do it right, the real time battles could be good, although personally, i think the only rpg with decent real time battles is TWEWY. Oh, and soma bringer.
I'm pretty sure they're switching to turn battle co op from real time.
Its a shame because i have the need for more games that are co-op real time.
Looks pretty nice and I plan to give it a try even tho it's not a monster title.....
They were going to make the game real time back when it was announced in 2006, but the DQ fans rebelled and bashed the idea and somehow managed to change Square Enix's minds (shock there eh?). Now it's classic turn based just like Dragon Quest 8. So don't fret. It's probably why it's taken them 3 years to make the game though. They had to reprogram most of the game from scratch.
i think i got a pretty old quote then
im looking forward to this!
