Namco Bandi has recently announced Dragon Ball Fighter Z will be releasing September 28 for Nintendo Switch in North America. This news was first made official during Nintendo's presentation event at E3 in a short compilation of games being featured on their system. Also announced is some exclusive bonuses for the delay of the game's release from the other console. Pre-ordering the game gives players a code for instant access to Both Goku and Vegeta's Super Sayian Blue characters.
Exclusive bonuses for the delay of the game's release from the other console come in the form of a game also by Namco, Dragon Ball Z Super Butoden. Known for being a Super Famicom exclusive game only released in Japan, this classic features early stages of how Dragon Ball series games appeared as a fighting game before it was refined over the years into the ones we more commonly know. More bonuses are yet to be announced.
Though Nintendo Switch fans are getting Dragon Ball FighterZ a little later than everyone else, Bandai Namco announced some extras to hopefully make up for it. Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden, a fighting game that originally debuted on the Super Famicom, is an exclusive pre-order bonus for FighterZ. Also, if you pre-order, you gain early access to SSGSS Goku and Vegeta.
Exclusive features for the Switch version will also be available. Simplified controls while using a single Joy-Con will be available. More features will be announced at a later date.
Dragon Ball FighterZ launches in the Americas for Nintendo Switch on September 28th. The game is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
