when a card has drag and drop compatibility that means that you can just download any ds rom off the internet and just put it on your card?

I was tired of screwing around with the M3 settings finding out that a game only boots in normal mode or with Force R/W enabled. I'm enjoying clean rom support much more but you do have a point. With patchers, you are likely to get your updates much faster when non working games come along than with carts/kits that use just clean roms and firmwares.

The drag and drop feature on the slot 1 cards is ideal when they get the compatability better without having to patch a few of them. Its ideal for the complete n00bs to transfer the roms over and just putting the card in the back of the DS to play the games. They can't mess up with something that easy can they?

The only real bonus to clean roms is that they supposedly support download play.

if DSX is clean, why dosnt some dl play not work?

did i read somwhere that DSX patches on the fly?

DS-X patches on the fly, therefore it does not run clean roms. Download play on DS-X works for all but a few games. Acekard does use clean roms, and download play only works in about two thirds (I think) of the games on that card.
