Hacking downloading wii system channels with NUSD

well
my wii came without weather/forecast, news and shop channel

would it be safe to download & pack them with NUSd and then install with WAD manager?

Sure.

You could also just run the latest WiiSCU (0.23) to do it. That's easier, since you don't need to pack the wads then.

Just be sure to download the same region as your Wii, otherwise you may end up with a black screen.

Personally, I use NUSD, as it downloads directly from the nintendo servers, so I know the source, but thats just me. Whichever works for you...

WiiSCU downloads from Nintendo as well. It just installs them directly after downloading instead of packing wads.
