Useful for downloading Wii games with the .001, .002, .003 etc files.

Pause the download and download the second link.

Easy as that? Yup

I have premmy but that's nice to know in case the account owner decides to change his password and not give it to my friend anymore.

Ditto.
And not only can I not resume, but it tells me my download is still active while paused (or cancelled).

I know another way!
Torrents.
I'm all about the torrents, but lately I've had trouble finding older stuff (namely comics) that are still seeded... so it's JDownloader + RS/MU for me, of if I'm lucky I can find MediaFire links (and even luckier, find them tied to an account and get more stuff

) which are resumable and don't have a wait time.

I stay away from torrents and P2P due to all the copyright lawsuits related to them. JD+RS/MU/whatever is safer. Plus usually faster for me.

MU runs reeeeal nice in jdownloader.

Try the program Mipony or uhh JDownloader, you can automate fileshare downloads, but torrents are much more convenient.

But it probably depends on what browser you're using.
With Opera, even if it gets stuck and says "Error", I can resume the download like normal.

That happen lots of times at school, and usually when I resume it it goes at about 1500kb/s for a while before eventually dropping down to less than 60kb/s (yes, the bandwidth there is that crappy.)
