Hacking Download Japanese Updates from USA 3DS

I have a Dragon Ball japanese game in my 3DS and when I connect to the internet, an update notice appears, I run the game and it asks me to press Y to update the software, I do so and the download seems to complete succesfully, but then the game still says it needs to update, and when I run the game no new content appears, the game version is still the same. I suppose it's because I'm using an American 3DS, is there something I can do? I'm using CFW B9S and Luma 8.1.1

You can't download game updates for out of region games from eShop, you can download updates with FreeShop though.

Already tried freeShop, the game doesn't appear on the list. Guess I'll have to wait for they to update their database or something, thanks anyway.
