Hello,
Well to start off, I have a white NTSC Wii from launch, and I had it on 4.2U and tried using preloader, because I never used it.
I ended up not liking it, and looked up how to delete it. I wasn't really paying attention, and the thread was pretty old, but it just said to install a new system menu wad. But the one they gave was 3.2U.
It did get rid of the preloader, but did it actually down grade the firmware to 3.2U? Or did installing the wad just give it the appearance of the 3.2U system menu. I would think that it downgraded it, but I wasn't aware that you could downgrade a Wii by installing a wad.
If it truly did down grade, what's the best way to get to 4.2U/4.3U? I wouldn't mind re-hacking it, but I don't have Brawl or any of the games needed to hack a 4.3 Wii. Can I just install a wad of the 4.2U system?
I don't know, I knew there were wads for the system menus, but never had to deal with them so I don't know how they work exactly.
Thanks.
