Hacking Doubts- Updating Neogamma and a few things

Hello, first of all I'm pretty much a newbie in this issues , so sorry if I ask very stupid questions..

Well, to start the version of my Wii is 3.4U (not 4.3), pretty old I guess; I have a chip (I don't know which cheap it is); HBC on the version 1.1.0 IOS 38 v14.25( I think the lastest) with no apps in it.

However, I have the Neogamma loader ( R6 IOS 249 Rev 13) wich I enter through the Backup Launcher (isn't that weird ?)and I play via DVDs.

These programs, as well the chipping, have been installed by another person, (in a store) not me.
My doubts are:

• Is it possible to update the Neogamma ? In that case, what risk exists and what other programs should I install ? (I'll install the Priiloader before doing anything)

• I also can't play online and can't use Internet, since my Wii asks for an Update all the time, and I believe that would invalidate my cheap and erase all my non official programs.
