Here's my collection of DosBox games.
Contents:

apps\dosbox-wii folder contains the dosbox-wii emulator for homebrew v1.6 (http://code.google.com/p/dosbox-wii)
wad\DosBox Wii - DOSW.wad contains a forwarder channel
Dosbox Folder which contains all the goodies check the last screenshot for the full list of games

Screenies:

What do you need:
1. A modded Wii + Wiimote
2. SD card with ~100MB
3. Wad manager to install the forwarder
4. Optional but extremely useful: a usb keyboard

What to do:
1. Download this pack:
*forbidden link removed*
2. Install the Forwarder with your Wad manager
3. Run the app and the you;ll see the game selection menu so press the letter or number followed of the game you want to play
Press X to show the list again
All games are tested and working fine

I already made a batch file to allow easy access to all games so Dos skills are not required.
I also included extra Dos commands in Dosbox\_Dox Folder

These games can be found on abandonware websites.
*links removed*

Thank you

When a moderator or administrator usually does something, it's for a reason. Not for you to repost it. :/

I don't know what it says in the forum rules about backseat moderatoring, but I would of at least in some way, banned you by now... If you don't know why, then may be you should ask those who you've offended and for breaking the rules about posting certain links.

GBAtemp is a US_based site and goes by US law.
http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-duration.html
in the US copyrights take 70 years past the author's death to expire.

The games are copywritten and it's illegal to redistribute them. DOSbox is okay, the games are not.
Actually GBAtemp is hosted on a french server from ovh, thus should go by french/european law.

There is no such thing as "abandonware" and several of the games listed are still being sold via gog.com and other sites.
Copyright doesn't last forever, so yeah, there is such thing as abandonware.

those are games that were paid but now free and open sourced

Abandon-ware still holds copyright regardless of where you live, the likelihood of getting prosecuted over abandon-ware is very slim as the author may just not enforce it and overlook it.

What about the game companies that stopped their buissiness?
Their knowhow was taken over by other companies, and probably lies rotting somewhere in a box, until they decide they need the room for something else and decide to ditch everything not knowing anymore what it is.

The european community is currently paying a bunch of dudes astronomical amounts of money to create an archive of "multimedia from the past" to ensure it doesn't get lost.

Don't understand me wrong, I am not promoting pirating. I am just saying that the people voting the laws don't know s**t what they are talking about.

In the US, there is a statement "It's the law". Some of us Europeans have difficulties to understand the correct meaning of this.

Chances are the channel was illegal too. Judging by the OP's other threads.
I got this wad from the internet and edited 1 picture long time ago,
I think it's Windows 95 theme for dosbox or something.

Getting a WAD from the Internet doesn't mean it's legal. The issue is still whether or not it contains copyrighted material.

i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
you've seen how much intel is struggling getting into the gpu market
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and nvidia is already doing ARM
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think they want to take more focus away from their gpus
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah I think Nvidia s future lays in AI GPU acceleration stuff if they can get that going it's going to be super interesting in the long term
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
AI assisted game creation might become a thing

At least that's something I think would be pretty cool.

Many TBs of assets and the programming of something like that is going to be tough but I think it's something we might see in 20 years maybe sooner
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
before that there was one to generate a fully modeled scene from a 2D image
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but most recently, there was one that actually generates a working unity scene with terrain and textures already set up that you can import right into unity, that's a huge time saver right there
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and using LLMs to generate NPC dialogue and even dynamically generated quests is something i'm sure is already happening
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
will just take some time for games made using those things to be completed and released
